A landmark achievement for the Thai animation industry: "Out of the Nest" is the first animated feature film from Thailand ever to qualify for the competition. The film, from T&B Media Global (Thailand) Company Limited, has officially qualified for the 98th Academy Awards (Oscars), having been included in the formal list of 35 eligible titles competing for the Best Animated Feature Film category. This momentous recognition underscores the film's high-caliber production quality, creative content, original musical score, and distinctive character design.
"Out of the Nest" secured its critical eligibility through an official theatrical release in the United States on July 18, a key requirement for Oscar consideration. The National Federation of Motion Pictures and Contents Associations (MPC) has formally announced the film's right to compete and is urging the Thai public to join in supporting "Out of the Nest" as it vies to advance to the coveted 15-film Shortlist, which is scheduled to be officially announced on Friday, December 16, 2025.
